Anne Bly joined Hansell Tierney in 2011. Her focus is on staffing for more public-facing technology positions—social media, web site development, for example, and Sharepoint. She recently worked locally and in London in the digital agency space and is an accomplished sales and marketing, recruiting and HR executive with a diverse technology background. She has owned her own recruiting company and also worked at Ascentium, a digital agency, where she did recruiting and sales.
Philosophy
“I’ve had a variety of careers in my life, and many have involved feeding people: catering, teaching cooking classes, running a restaurant. All of these had their perks, but finding people the perfect job feeds my soul. I’ve been an account manager and recruiter in this industry for awhile now, and it’s just the ideal job for me.”
Extracurricular and education
Anne is an accomplished cook who both teaches and takes cooking classes. She has a degree in computer science and accounting from California State University, Hayward and was a developer for 18 months before moving into sales and recruiting. “I never looked back!”
